Kale Chips


  • 5oz kale, chopped and stems removed
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
  • salt


  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees
  2. Clean kale and pat dry (make sure it’s very dry or the kale will steam in the oven, making the chips soggy)
  3. In a large bowl, drizzle the kale with the olive oil, massaging the oil into the leaves so that the nooks and crannies are coated.
  4. Sprinkle with the cayenne and salt and mix well.
  5. Cover a cookie sheet with aluminum foil and spread the kale out so that it’s in an even layer.
  6. Bake for 25 minutes, stirring halfway through.
  7. Let stand for about 2-3 minutes (they will continue to crisp) and enjoy!
